clay and staci met in september 2003, and decided in february to open up their own studio. however, while in the midst of looking for a place, they and their original 5 team members began practicing in staci's garage. for two or three weeks, the team practiced amongst sawdust, tools, and oil. not long after, they came across some space and a studio was born.

at the beginning of march, staci and clay signed a lease on a vacant space at 619 12th street in west columbia. work began on the studio almost immediately. everyone worked hard on the studio pulling down walls and building new ones. the dancers spent time painting the walls. in 2006, heather joined the team of directors, married clay, and became a co-owner in january '07. the new studio opened march 3, 2008, and the rest is history in the making.
